if you are reading this blog, welcome back and make yourself comfortable :-)
I came across this book, "Getting to Happy" by Terry McMillan at the Fantastic Thrift store last Saturday. It was sitting there by the cash register as I was getting ready to check out. I'm a big fan of Terry McMillan's work, "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" and "Waiting to Exhale". I'm all about friendships, girl empowerment and being to be able to share my views, opinions and life experiences with friends who are real and honest. Just like the book and movie "Waiting to Exhale", this is about the friendships that I've made in my 37 years of life.
I don't have just one best friend, I have a few and I'm so grateful for that. The relationships that I've built with these women are life savers! They are like my psychiatrists, only they are free and I can call them anytime 24/7, including Holidays. So this is a tribute to my "psychiatrists, BFF's, homies and partners in crime"
Thank you to these ladies for their never ending support, their love and their undying loyalty . Thank you to the book "getting to happy" for making me realize how important these women are in my life.
